We have finished our first full week of school for 2021!  Everything went really well last week.  The elementary school is currently in the In-Person Learning Model.  All of our students are coming to school every day. The students are doing a great job following our safety protocols of wearing masks, watching their distance, and washing their hands.

Our school day has been modified to coordinate dismissal times with the HS/MS.  Students will be dismissed at 2:30 each day.

Students and staff got back in the swing of things last week.  Staff reviewed our expectations and safety protocols with students.  This week staff will review our ALICE procedures.  ALICE stands for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, and Evacuate.  We follow these protocols if we would have an unsafe situation at school.  We will hold an emergency lockdown drill next week.

New COVID guidance from the state requires students to wear masks during indoor PE classes and indoor recess.

There is no school on Monday in recognition of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.  Teachers will be attending inservice sessions.

Please contact our office if your child will not be in school.  Our school nurse tracks all COVID related absences to provide data to make sound decisions about our school's learning model.

Everyone can do their part to ensure our students stay in school.  Following the recommended guidelines of wearing a mask and social distancing will help reduce the number of positive cases in our county.  This will help keep everyone healthier and makes in-person learning possible.

Thank you to our parents and community for their support.  We could not do this without it.
